Scholarships for Girls

It used to be a rare thing for a female to get an education, especially at the college level. Women were expected to stay home and help with the family while the men were out on the farm or in the city getting an education for the benefit of the family. Now, women in higher education slightly outnumber men. There are many organizations and groups that help women have equity in the world of higher education. Many groups provide scholarships for girls, particularly if they are entering a career field that is typically held by men.
